Hmm, a list of the best places to live, and they are all in the US? Not knocking your towns, lots of nice places there, but there is a whole world out here.
Check out the EIU list of most liveable cities (I only have the 2004 and prior studies, nothing for 2005). Realize that this is a study of best places to live as an ex-pat (which assumes that you are moving away from your home-town, so all the home-town sentiment gets factored out). Melbourne tied with Vancouver and Vienna for first. Following them are Perth, Geneva, Adelaide, Brisbane, Copenhagen, Montreal, Oslo, Sydney, Zurich, Helsinki, Stockholm, Toronto. No, it wasn't an Australian or Canadian study. Top US city was Honolulu at 19. New York was 51, Washington was 57. Clearly, they weren't looking at small towns. Any Australians out there like to comment?

eh, my town was a contender (Nashua NH). LOL sounds like the movie line "I coulda bin a contenda!"
We have finished #1 2x in the past, but that was a while ago.Money magazine only looks at the US of A. If I was moving back to Canada, I'd go back to Montreal. It's not perfect but I like it there. I'd like to live in some other parts of the world some day - try it out for a while.

Moorestown
I work in Mt. Laurel - right next to Moorestown. Very nice little town in Southern Jersey - but still kind-of surprised that it was voted #1. Very cool.

I live in #25 on the list Coronado Ca. This is a small peninsula across from SanDiego that they like to call an island. The weather is usually great, the town is old time charming with few chain type stores, and the folks are nice. But did you check out the average home price, and that doesn't get you the type of diggs that the folks back home would expect for 1.1M. Just glad we bought before the prices doubled over the past few years. If you ever get to San Diego check out Coronado and the Hotel Del Coronado.

Can't complain since I am only 1/4 mile from Tysons Corner. Seems like you are in VA too. What part?
