Do you see aything on the monitor at all, or is the shutdown immediate? Possibly a registry issue- try to get to the bios via the appropriate function key during boot-up and start in safe mode.

Sounds to me like the power supply went bad. They are not too expensive and pretty easy to replace...so if it's not the culprit you won't be out too much money or time. Dan Quote:

It could be many things: Hard drive, mother board, CPU, failing video card, etc....
The first thing to do is to identify if it is the motherboard and or CPU. Try to access the BIOS. On a lot of desktop computers the BIOS can be accessed by pressing the delete button while powering on the computer. If you can get into the BIOS then your motherboard and CPU are ok. |
