Funny that you mention bikes. I just bought one..

I know I should have shared with the gang, just hadn't got around to posting a thread. Got it Thursday night.

It's a 2003, Harley Davidson Softail Deuce. It is a limited edition sled made by the custom vehicle operations team at HD. It's called a SCREAMIN EAGLE. It's also a 100th year anniversary bike.

***EDITED *** **SORRY SANGURU, THOUGHT YOU LIVED IN ORANGE COUNTY FOR SOME REASON** ** GOOD LUCK ON YOUR PURCHASE **
Let me know when you get your scoot, your in OC, we can meet up for a ride. BTW, don't rule out a Harley. -- A bit more expensive but -- LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES.

Good luck on your search and let me know how it goes.

I'll porbably try one out this weekend.. my ride to the office if I'm not traveling is 8 miles. 20 miles to the airport that i usually fly out of. All the mags have been ranting and raving about the gixxer and the R6.. I had a CBR600F3 many moons ago and it was indeed comfortable.

from a quick look at last years prices, the R1 was only about $2500 more than the R6. me, personally, i'd go w/ the R1 or GSXR1000. do u plan on modding the bike at all to increase HP?

Get the one that is the most comfortable

Nothing worse than wrist going numb 20 mins into the ride. I had an 02zx-9 and hated it. I had between harleys....went back.

J: I've ridden year old versions of both you mentioned, plus the Honda 600.

At 6'1"/210-215 they are all a tad "tight" for me...or, maybe the 58 yr old
bod is just not as flexible as it was, lol!

All haul azz and are nearly liter bike fast under 100-120,imo.
Hellsbells, my 18 yr old Honda 'Cane 1000 is still fast enough
for this guy, and those 600s will eat my 'Cane these days,
below 130.

I'd try to ride 'em all to get a quick feel for ergos vis a vis
your frame. Any of them are rockets...ride carefully and wear
some gear. GL,md

PS: Waiting about 2 months will get you a MY leftover and the
price drops...or, find a yr old new one sitting. The tech changes
by the year but for 99%+ of the street riders, who could tell the
"diff"?
