Meiac,
"You ain't from around here, is ya' ?"

I have never run into any kind of confrontational types here in
western NC, in 7 years living here, as an ex-NYer...if anything,
the locals will turn away from any type of verbal confrontation.

SC, and G'ville/S'burg, etc., is a diff story, imo.

Edit: maybe it was that FreeTheMaineMoose
bumper sticker you had and that Confederate Sons
'neck was a Palin fan.

What a trashball..."yankee ass". The good thing about the metro Atlanta area is that it seems most people living here were not born here, so you don't see too much of that. Everything outside the metro area is a different story, of course.

I am resisting from saying something about the people around here.

I'm going to atlanta this weekend though, so for something different... (That is, if I can find gas to get there)

Strange? My friend is a VP at Atlanta Gas & Light - He once told me Atlanta usually enjoys the cheapest gasoline prices since there were 3 different pipelines supplying gasoline to Atlanta

Atlanta gas and light is natural gas, not gasoline, right?

Our gasoline prices have been above the nations average for a while now.

Yes, NG, not motor fuel - they are the ones who supplied the natural gas to the Olympic flame in 1996 - still, he knows what pipelines are running in'n'out of Atlanta and what they are carrying
