BTW, where and how do you download your applications. I know you said Crackberry, but where. I purchased StormLock from Handango, but it doesn't come under downloads, only options. |

On the CrackBerry boards, under Storm/3rd party apps, you can find a stickied post with has links to the jar files (over the air installations). Either copy-paste them to a email and send to your phone - or access the forum from your blackberry and download them directly from there.

i just loaded firmware v .113 on my storm, (supposedly it's going to be the released version in a week or so) and all I have to say is wow. It's like having a new phone.

I gave mine to my sister. I didn't like it much.
I will use my iPhone for my primary and get the Nokia N97 for my secondary (When it releases).

The most noticeable changes for me:
1) typing is more reliable 2) camera is now useable (not that i ever use a camera phone, but now it actually works if needed) 3) switching from portrait to landscape and vice versa is quicker 4) switching between apps is quicker 5) editing text is easier with the new slide box 6) you can use a full keyboard in portrait now

I am actually going to get a Storm in the next few days. I went into Verizon with intentions of getting the Tour or an Omnia, but changed my mind after I stumbled across the Storm. I have to admit that I didn't give it much thought because it seems all I have heard was negative, but I was really impressed after I actually got my hands on it. I don't want to offend old school BlackBerry fans, but the track ball is WAY outdated, IMO. I just can't spend money on anything but a touch screen. I like the iphone, but ATT is horrible in my house and neighborhood, so I am sticking with Verizon. I know the Storm was not a big hit initially due to glitches, but apparently the updates referenced above have helped out big time. I actually like the feel of the screen when it "clicks" and found myself thinking that there must be something wrong with me because of all the negative press. I was personally able to text faster with the Storm than the Omnia or the Tour. I am not that big into apps or multimedia (that is what my laptop is for), but as a phone, e-mail machine, < 70 texts per month, occasional internet usage and minimal apps, it is right up my alley. I wish I could wait to the see Storm 2 or Omnia 2, but I need the phone ASAP.
