I see the "ricer" cars as small light imports with enthusiest followings that like to heavily modify them for racing and/or car shows. BMW 3 series cars are the closest I can think of, especially a couple models old (like in most ricers) like the E36.

My old E36 325is had aftermarket headlights, tail lights, rims, exhaust, chip, flywheel/clutch, etc. All the same type of parts kids buy for their honda civics from ebay. The main reason the euro parts looked better on the E36 than on JDM cars is because the E36 is an actual euro car, so styles match better.

I would consider the compact models from most manufacturers eligable tuner cars, like the ford foccus, VW jettas and rabbits, mitsubishi galant (evo series), audi a4, etc. Just takes enthusiest to start modifying them and creating that subculture.
