I've found no substantial use for Facebook, texting or Twitter in my life but some people think they're essential.

Most of my uses can be covered by my PC or laptop but it's sometimes more convenient to use the phone, even at home.

Here's another example: When we drove to Kansas City this past fall, the GF was on the Internet on her laptop, connecting using the 3G hotspot on my phone, running our business while I was driving the X5.

BTW, I played this course on my way home:

Course Tour

My friend John is the head pro there.

Oh yeah, I'm rooted, rom'ed, kernal'ed, overclocked..everything. I've got an Epic, not a Droid Pro. LauncherPro honestly has so many settings, but once you've got it set the way you want (the paid version is the best, which I downloaded for free), you can resize icons, widgets, etc to make your desktop just the way you want it. I even went as far as downloading an app called MultiPicture Live Wallpaper so that I can have changing wallpapers every 30 seconds, just like my home PC. I then went browsing Google and found about 50 random cars and other images that I have playing randomly.

Since I flash my phone to try other rom/kernals, and have even tried hacked versions of 2.2, I use the following apps each time I reflash:
1) AppMonster - backup and easily restores all my apps
2) LauncherPro - backup up my desktop easily, minus the widgets (the paid versions lets me resize widgets, PM me for details)
3) Thankfully Google automatically (for all Android users) resyncs the contacts
4) SMS Backup and Restore 3.6 - backup and restore (minus SMS pics, but it's coming)
5) SEVEN Email - Remembers all my email accounts, I just need to re-enter each accounts password and they're all resynced again. This app is also FAR better than the stock Gmail/Email app since it can sync to countless accounts in one app and uses less battery since it uses a push type server vs the stock email apps that checks based on timed intervals (which is what kills the battery life) .
Flashing these phones is far easier than any phones I've had in the past thanks to the apps I've listed above.

I only have 3 screens setup, but I think I can do upwards of 7. BTW - I used an app called DroCap to take these screen shots.

Yeah, works great...you've just got to make sure to change some of the initial settings to make it recognize your OBDII device. Under Settings, make sure you've got Bluetooth as your connection, check (green) the faster connection box, uncheck the disable ELM327 and the passcode was 1234 when it paired to the OBDII reader.

I'm trying to get a hold of the developer to see if he can make a special edition for us BMW people by testing the pinouts of my Peake OBD and ABS/SRS tools so we can check SRS/ABS codes, reset Insp I and II lights as well.

I have an iPad and iPhone so I have apps for each. Most of what I have is just to keep me busy during breaks when I am out of the office on a break.
