dude- you are talking nonsense.

Lets say the DNC is bankrupt. What then? How does that relate to Trump dying of a stroke or getting impeached?

I mean it is clear you thought you were making some snarky comment attacking the DNC....but the premise is just dumb.

Even if that were the case... we should ask ourselves.

Is it better to have a party that is financially bankrupt in office... or one that is morally bankrupt. I still find it hilarious that the "family" party nominated a narcissistic womanizer who is a dubious (at best) businessman.

And I am not a lefty. Purely independent. It's interesting watching the two parties implode. Though would certainly prefer the Dems to the current Rep setup.

That exact thought could be applied to the current administration.

I didn't like all of Obama's policies, especially the second term... but I'd take him over what we have now. Trump thew oil into the swamp and lit it on fire... now nothing functions. Both parties need to move more center and start finding some common ground instead of bickering like petulant children on the taxpayer's dime.

As the scandals are coming out. Do you steel feel the same? I am a recovering Democrat who looks at the situation for what it's worth. At the end of The day Trump may turn out to be the best president of our lifetime. His success list is long although the media doesn't discuss it.

Could you elaborate on the scandals? I am only aware of "spying" on Trump's campaign... I am waiting all of this nonsense out to make judgement on that, or the collusion Trump may or may not have had. I will wait until the end of the investigation (on both issues) to judge.

I wanted Obama to send some bank executives to jail like some of the European countries did after they ran the economy the ground and almost crashed the world economy. That was a huge failure IMO. I also wanted him to be more transparent, as he promised, but that never materialized. He definitely had failures.

Also, could you elaborate on his list of successes? The only one that comes to mind is the tax cut, and your opinion on that is going to depend where you fall on the economic spectrum. I would rather he had kept the taxes the same and did away with the self employment tax. Talk about stimulating the economy and spurring innovation... no better way than to make it more beneficial for people to work for themselves.

I can list just some of his failures...

1. Appointed Ajit Pai (former Verizon atty) chairman of the FCC. This cost us Title 2 status for the ISPs and is assisting them in stifling growth and competition. Cost us net neutrality so here come the "net-zero" services and fast lanes. Again stifling innovation and growth.

2. He has filled our political "news" with scandal. Whether true or not, having our news cycle filled with stories of corruption, partisanship, and pay-offs is not good for the day-to-day running of the government.

3. He won't keep his dumb fingers off his phone and Twitter account. Some of the stuff he says there (with impunity) blows my mind.

4. Has appointed some of the dumbest cronies in recent memory to his cabinet. This has cost a lot of time and effort as well as he keeps cleaning house.

5. Appointed Scott Pruit to head up the EPA. Regardless of your feelings on AGW... this is just a ridiculous move. A former oil executive heading up the EPA? I don't know how you could have more of a conflict of interest. I thought making Ajit Pai head of the FCC was bad...

6. Has turned the executive branch into the head of an oligarchy, plutocracy, or plutarchy depending on how you want to term it. Sure it's good for BIG business, and the stock market is going gang busters. But that's just paper money. My family can't touch any of that until we retire. Which is the case with MOST who are vested in the market. A lot could happen between now and then. And I'll grant he isn't the only one guilty of this, the judicial branch laid a HUGE egg on it's decision allowing Citizens United (what a crock of a name).

I am decidedly independent and fall very center left or right depending on the issue. All of this polarizing stuff is beyond me and sounds like a bunch of children bickering in the school yard. And Trump is the loudest bully in the yard. His litigious nature and narcissism had me worried from the beginning and it's only been confirmed as we get further into his term.

Frightening.

"The scandals"? His successes?

Quicksilver will become famous soon enoughQuicksilver will become famous soon enough
From an article written by JOHN PAVLOVITZ. Edited by me on purpose just to get the point across.

It seems as though there are enough people fully proud right now to be associated with a three-time married, serial adulterer and confessed predator; a man whose election and business dealings and relationships are riddled with controversy and malfeasance. People are perfectly fine being represented by a bullying, vile, obnoxious, genitalia-grabbing, Tweet-ranting, Prime Minister-shoving charlatan who’s managed to offend all our allies and alienate millions of our citizens in a few short months. And i guess people are okay with him putting on religious faith like a rented, dusty, ill-fitting tuxedo and immediately tossing it in the garbage when he’s finished with it. Let me ask. Seriously!!! is anyone embarrassed by any of this?

The alt-righties are morally bankrupt, poorly educated, fearful bigots.

Id like to hope that there remains somewhere the remnants of a conservative republican party, separate from these magamorons.

What is troubling is that these moral, intelligent conservatives are allowing Trump to do far more damage to our institutions than any democrat ever did...

and those that rationalize it with 'eh, the other side stole and lied and did stuff- at least we are getting (judges, taxes, etc)'.... they are selling out a generation or more. They are complicit in one of the greatest stains of modern american politics.

IMO-Trump is a criminal- he is guilty of massive money laundering, among other things. Did he 'collude' with Russians to steal the election? I dunno, but I think he is guilty of far more serious crimes. I am also concerned that those around him are trading influence for $$$$. He is also incompetent, and a danger to America's security. His administration can only attract players who will never ever ever in a million lifetimes be able to work for any other republican presidential administration- these are either dumb, damaged, or thieves- or a bit of all. Further, I am becoming ever more convinced that the alt-right wack jobs, Bolton and his ilk, will wind up costing American young men their lives. Mark my word- Americans will die due to Trump's incompetence.

Best president of our lifetimes?!? It is hard to understand how misguided a person can be to write that. Trump may have 40, 45% "approval". But the number of people that think "best ever"????

Wow. Just wow.
