I'd rather have that choice because the Government is not around at 3:30 in the morning in my bedroom nor do I want them there.

Off topic but needed to be addressed based on your comment.

1st) Let me state Dr. Tiller was due his date in court to prove or disprove his practice of giving late term abortions were within the state guidelines. Shooting him only muddys the water and raises off-topic debate of vigilanty justice, religion, etc.

2nd) IMHO, taking a life IS justified to protect yourself and/or others, IF INNOCENT LIFE IS IN IMMEDIATE DANGER. In a "kill, or be killed" scenario, to paraphrase Gen. Patton, I'm going to let the other bastard die for his country or cause.

3rd) There are some truly evil people in our world, and the world would be a whole lot better off if they were dead.

4th) With Pelosi/Reid/Leahy/ACLU/etc now trying to govern WAR using the US Justice system, are they going to prosecute(persecute?) WWII soldiers for having killed enemy soldiers that were surrendering or unarmed? (see "Band of Brothers" & "Saving Private Ryan" - both depict actual events that happen often in War) FYI, I shed tears everytime I watch these movies. There are huge areas of grey when trying to determine what is "black or white" in War. Congress should take care of domestic problems. POWs are NOT eligible for US justice. You want to split hairs?..., the wait until the war is over. Are we going to prosecute those that put Japanese-Americans in Internment Camps. Those WERE American citizens!

Killing the doctor was wrong and the shooter should get life in prison for murder. That said I feel his practice was disgusting if the procedure was performed when it did not involve the life of the mother.

I'm a pro-choice Conservative but there is a point in the process even I get uncomfortable. Some think birth control pills are murder...I think the first few weeks of a pregnancy makes a potential child but have not developed enough to consider it murder.

That's just me...I understand there is a lot of personal emotions which come out in this debate.

It is still about the mother's choice and that is all it should be about...her body her decision...

If there are risks of complications..or a even death then obviously there are no other alternatives...

Was hearing some of the interviews...some anti-abortionist said that a lot of people could commit murder to stop babies from dying....red flags right there...

Please. Thats CRAP. If the baby can sustain itself outside of the womans body it no longer becomes her choice in my book. Unless there are some health concerns or complications which risk the mothers life. Your contention that it is her body and therefore her decision is callous, crude and outright disgusting in my opinion. Remember I'm pro-choice. That's almost like saying a mother can drowned her newborn baby in the bathtub because she can no longer take being a mother because it came from her body.

From what I've read, this doctor was performing abortions as permitted under the current laws of the state. If PRO-Lifers want to treat abortion as murder, they need to change the law. A legal abortion is not murder, and calling it murder (by party pundits, i.e. O'Reilly) only encourages acts like the horrific murder of this doctor.

I can't understand why this outspoken group is also against the widespread distribution of birth control. It seems counter-productive doesn't it? If there was less demand for abortions, then there would be less abortions.

Because this group is on the FAR FRINGE of the conservative ideology. Truth be told you are on the far side of the other end...Too Far Left in my opinion.

Questionable practice to some, but murder?? Insane action. Dispicable. (I am pro-Choice)

Murder is not an answer. Illustrates how people are easily caught in their own beliefs, losing a grip on the reality.

Her choice at the 21st week huh, hmm.
Seems the OT has gone off course, or maybe not...

Is the murder of the doctor justified, no. Is abortion a sensitive and detailed topic, yes. How do I feel about abortion in the 21st week (late term) should be illegal..is it....no. Is a baby in the 21st week a human in my book, yes. But what do I know, I'm just a dad.

Looks pretty much like a human to me.

Imagery of 2 weeks after that...
