Anyway, you say that the vibration isn't noticible in cold. Could still be bushings. The cold might be hardening them.

Tires shouldn't be a cause of loose steering. Vibrations, yes. Have a mechanic check your front end suspension. You're getting up there in miles and bushings may be drying up from those Canadian...

Same thing happens on my '03 X5 3.0 first thing in the morning. I'm not concerned. It's a big vehicle and I imagine the tranny takes some time to warm up.

Sure, you can replace the sensors yourself. You'll have to take the wheel off to get to install. One on the front and one on the rear. Pads aren't too hard to do yourself but it is a bit more...
