Hmmm mine is a 2005 and doesn't but I was sitting in the new X5 and like the new 3series...inside the cupholder is a switch to turn on or off the fan. Is that what you guys mean?

No on the unlock when motor off.
No on the mirrors auto folding...just click the little button next to the button to roll down your windows for that...

The 4.8 gets 16/21 (same as the 3.0), the 4.4 gets 16/22. So gas mileage should not be an issue. Sure, if you can get the 4.8 grab one! Now is a good time to buy these things as prices have dropped...
