The battery is right there in the back under the spare, why wouldn't you just use the best possible power source when it is so close to where you're amp will be?

Hard to tell, but most of those wires could not cause a battery drain. The twisted pairs coming out of the amp are low voltage speaker wires. I can't imagine why wires would be tapped to any other...

front end clunks = always check the sway bar end links, I've replaced mine twice. You're most likely hearing the play in the heim joints, the rest of the front end is much more robust.
