I had a 2007 and a 2010 and decided to go with something else instead of leasing another E70 (went with ML63). I'll be looking at the next X5 in 2.5 years - by then hopefully the first year issues...

I voted for something else. Having had a first year M3 and X5, I now avoid first year BMWs. The little issues require you to go in and they don't seem to sort out the options until the second year.

+1 on avoiding the metal caps with BMW logos. Snapped off a stem. Didn't use anti-seize but in the end was not worth the aggravation.

I got them at a local hardware store. Not sure what they are for but the store had a whole range of sizes. Something like $0.10 each. I superglued them into place. 4 mo later they are still there.
