...funny thing is my 2001 w/ the original 4:3 screen did not have this problem, it was always easy to read. The 16:9 screen in my 2006 is very difficult to read most sunny days.

My v710 has been working flwlessly with my '06 X5 - phonebook and all. My phone is supplied by Telus (Canadian) so it may not have the same issues as the Verison phone.

It's the "load space divider" or "safety net". I got one of these way back - pretty handy when carrying bulky stuff in the back. It has 3 hooks that engage the tie-downs on the back of the rear sets...

Ok, it's been a week since I replaced my '01 X5 4.4 with an '06. IMHO the '06 represents a significant improvement over the '01 except in one area... audio.

Successful IceLink installation - '06 NAV + DSP

... took less than 15min. to get everything hooked up, in fact the hardest part was removing the existing CD changer (which was easy).

I opted for a complete stealth install with the iPod mounted...

Hi All,

I'm just about to start an ICP installation in an '06 X5 w/ NAV + DSP. This is my 2nd NAV equiped X5 and neither have come with a card with any sort of security code keycode for the audio...

BMW took my truck and made it better

I replaced my '01 X5 4.4 SP for an almost identically equiped '06 last night and WOW - what a difference. There are so many subtle improvements.

Equipment common to both old and new car...
