H&R Sport Springs

Frankly I'm not impressed w/ the stock "Sport" setup at all. I find the suspension, steering, wheels and tires all sub-par for the price.

That said, just installed new springs on the '05 4.4 Spt....

Using 2 bulk/stainless pipes instead

Just got back from the shop where they recommended ordering a few feet of stainless steel pipe instead. They stated there's no gain in sound or HP from the X-Pipe (vs. cherry bombs or straight pipe)...

I know it's the most expensive airbag/wheel combination for the X5 however all I can find on eBay are old non-sports, old sports, etc (no heated).

It's the same as the non-heated sport illustrated...

The new wheel ('04 onwards) is a newer sport wheel

If you haven't seen it it's much better than the old one.

(I just need the old sport airbag for my M3 SMG paddle-shifter retrofit)

4.4i Sport front suspension life

I don't drive recklessly bump-wise, still Toronto's roads aren't spectacular.. With 19"s my '00 shocks failed at 20K (miles) and on my '05 they're beginning to fade at 10K.

Anyone else noticing...

Man, the ass end brake light screwups are defacto at BMW nowadays... tape or no tape, running up the side of the tailgate window is total Volvo and anti-sport IMO.

Mind you, the new front bumper...

[Q] Part No. for '04+ OEM decorative skid plated

IMHO this rounds out and thickens the nose of the OEM bumper cover/moulding which I personally find to be a bit skimpy when compared to the front of a CayanneS for example.

I wasn't aware that...

Canadian X5's and Bluetooth install (post-install comments)

I recently installed the Bluetooth kit into a '05 X5 4.4i.

- I did not have the pre-wiring listed on my invoice
It would appear all '05s (and presumably '06s) have the pre-wiring installed...

There are times when you have to remove your seatbelt. For example, every morning when I park downtown I have to undo my belt to reach the ticket machine/button. If I don't put the seatbelt on...
