I think the bottom ends are pretty robust...

I have a 4.6 as well. You will get around 14 mpg on gas. Dont forget you will lose boot space or your spare wheel space with a gas tank

Nice job. I would check the oil pump suction filter after a couple of hundred miles. That pizzza, sorry plastic, gets everywhere.

Out of interest how do you compress the valve springs to remove the collets? Took a bit of doing with the heads off and using a valve spring compressor when I did mine.

Just a thought for anybody doing this, DO NOT do what my useless indy dealer did and use the timing pin as a lock to try and get the front pulley nut off. You WILL break a chunk off the bell housing.
