I'd start with the simple stuff first... check the battery, alternator charge level.... these cars seriously have a brain fart when the electrics aren't being fed...

I used Bilsteins and Eibach (from memory) springs and they were pretty much spot on to standard ride height. It meant no issues with resetting ride...

Well sold the 4.4 back home and with the exchange...

Keep in mind that with the Nav you have no audio inputs at the dash so you will likely need a (eg Fakra) cable that runs from the boot to the rear of the unit you choose.

$53 online installed myself in 15 minutes..... as opposed to (quoted) $490 +Tax + labour through BMW dealer ... for an E53!!!!!
