I am sure a 12v pump will work and it will depend on amperage. But the cost of solar cell is so expensive and ugly to be mounted above the pond.

Maybe I should just wire my house with solar...

I went under my X for a visual inspection of the underbody a few days ago and find something that worries me. I found a uncover hole, and I can see a gear in the hole. That worries me alot.
