Im not gonna flame you. But seriously its not good to drive winter tires in the summer and if you think they handle just as good in the winter as they do in they summer you must drive like someones grandmother. the difference is night and day and thats a fact. Winter tires have a totally different rubber tread compound that is only designed to work well in cold weather. hot weather causes them to deteriorate quickly wear faster and eventually become a hazard. ask your local tire shop or anyone else on this board. By the way i lve 1.5 hours from rochester and get as much snow as you do and it definately is less days without snow than with snow. Basically you need snow tires dec to feb 3 months a year.

lol, I don't drive like your grandmother...I actually drive agressively, probably too aggressively...but in any case, once again what I recommended were the Zeros...which are not winter tires, I got the Scorpion Ice and Snow because I mainly use my car in the winter (during the summer I'm either at some sort of conference or taking classes across the country)

There's no arguing with dollars and cents. Another plus is that Costco's road hazard warranty covers 60 months versus Tirerack's 36 months.

The Michelin Latitude Tour HP's are brand new to the market (June 2006) and are billed as performance all-season tires. The treadwear rating is AA vs. the Diamari's A, treadlife is AA vs. the Diamari's A. It's probably a plusher riding tire (think more MXV4-like than Pilot-like), but unfortunately there are no 3rd party reviews that I can find on the web.

Good find! How does the costco $60 off work? Most of the time, they don't carry the proper sizes for 19s and 20s, so this means special order. So, does the $60 off applies even if the tires come in after 9/3/06 (of course the ordered date is prior to 9/3)? I'm actually thinking about the Latitude in 19s.

I wouldn't buy Toyo's again. My first set feathered at 6 or 7k miles. My second set started getting loud after 1k miles. The tires are perfectly balanced...

You buy the tires online at costco.com. The $60 is deducted from the total price during your online transaction. The tires are shipped from the Costco warehouse to the Costco store that you specify. When the tires arrive, they'll contact you, show up for your appointment, and you're done.

I'm interested in the Latitude tires as well, but I have at least another 15-20K left on my Diamaris. The Diamaris is a far more agressive looking tire; the Diarmari's shoulders are more square and have more of a performance look that the Latitudes.

I just purchased yokohama advans for my 20's. They are the best for the money. Michelin is so overpriced for there product. You'll def be satisfied with yokohama.

Agreed, but Yokohama does NOT make any All-Seasons. Some of us only see snow few days during the year (snowboarding trips) and does NOT make sense to have summer tires and a 2nd set of "winter tire/wheel" for that purpose. So, All-Seasons are the best compromise.
