Yes other one is cool there is few of these red light installed...overhead console...door handles..

Where exactly are these orange or red lights? Are they constantly on or are turned on manually?

They turn on with the lights ... u will find one in each door handle, two fronts near the mirror and two in the back near the interior lighting.. put ur hand when it is dark u will easily notice them.

Actually all BMWs have them!

its called mood lighting. I don't recall my 3 series having it.

I have them on my E46 and I had them on my 740i E38

This is a great one!

As I know it, having the rear hatch up/open keeps the hatch lights (two downward facing lights in the top portion of the hatch itself) ON even after turning the interior lights off with the center button. If your trick works then we can save significant battery power!

We often run into this problem when tailgating. Thanks!:thumbup:

Our '06 3.0 DOES have the flashlight.

It also sets off the alarm by holding the turnk-release button on the key (programmable)

Flush-mounted metal bars built into the BACK of the rear seats is for extra stability when using a baby-seat. My wants-to-be-a-mom girlfriend loved that one!

Those are the latch restraints. Works very well IMO.
