The cup holders either heat or cool your drink when you have the air system on. And when you turn the heated seats on then get out of the car, they will automatically turn themselves off.

Oh that's why it does that...couple of times I noticed it rolled back down while I shuffle around to get ready to leave...was thinking that my window mechanism had a glitch!

To do this, simply hold down the unlock button on your remote. After 3-5 seconds the windows will start to roll down along with the moonroof (front first, then rear). Nice feature to have when you are walking up to your car on a hot day.

The flip side of this is closing all windows with the key. To do this, you need to insert the key into your driver's door lock and turn and hold in the lock position.

Great thread! This works for my 01 4.4i! Also found that socket under the glove box.

anybody find the eject button on the passenger seat yet? should be good for backseat drivers;)

is this for real? I've never noticed.

It's because of the ac duct/fan under the cup holders

no, not really. check air duct, it doesn't go under the cup holders.
yellow area is where our cup holders are sitting..

EOD Guy 02-23-2008 03:02 PM

You are right, it's to the right of your yellow arrow and to the rear of your yellow spot, so unless yours has another means of cooling or heating the cup holder, it's due to the cold or hot air flowing through the duct. My bad for stating under.
