I don't recommend using the headlights trick after turning off the vehicle. When I found this out, I would do it all of the time. But, I have had to replace both of my headlights. The nature of xenon's, it is not recommend to constantly turn them on and off. They will wear out faster, and reduce the life of the bulb. I can't find the reference to this, possible the owners manual?
(Edit) Found it, Page 176 of the owners manual. |

Stash Spot
All X5's have the best place to hide stuff in the shifter cover. Look at the tutorial on how to remove the center consol and it will tell you how to get it off. With no tools it pops off and you can hide everything in seconds. The stuff doesnt get lost or fall down the sides or anything like that. This saved my butt on a few occasions. |

Not sure if this was mentioned but I just found it: When you go to close your rear hatch, there are two holes on the inside of the door for your hands to pull down on. Look on the inside of the hatch. That way, you don't have to put fingerprints on the paint when you close the door!

I never noticed I always touch the paint. Thanks. I'll try and find them.

Pretty sure they are on the e53... I have an '03 4.4 and I've got them.
