Trust them or not, that's the BMW published MSRP. If a dealer wants to mark up the price then that's their choice, doesn't matter if it's on a warranty, a car, or a screw.

pricing of $0

why would i buy one when the DIY is so easy and readily available on the internet??

That depends on how you value your time and whether you have the skills, tools and patience to do the work yourself.

Looking foe Extended Warranty for my 2005 4.4 with 115000 miles. Just called to Fidelity and have been told that they not selling plans to general public, only brought dealer. Any thoughts?
RastaFarai, is Ralley Bmw still selling that warranty?

Correct, call up your local BMW dealer who you plan on using for the work and buy it through them.

Meister, my dealer has Zurich warranty, it's very pricey.
3 years/ 36000=4800. anyway I don't want to use them anymore. Is it possible to buy from one dealer and use any BMW dealer?

X5 Meister 06-15-2010 12:14 PM

Yes. Call up Macon BMW and they'll take care of you. They are the ones who are giving us the incredible deal on extended maintenance and they also handle Fidelity and BMW extended warranties. My understanding is that there is one disadvantage if you buy it from one dealer and use it as another; you will have to pay the deductible ($50 or $100, etc). That's why I initially said call up the finance department of the dealer you plan to use. I'd also call up several dealers to shop around for the best pricing, etc.

Hi, I'm a newbie here, just bought a CPO 3 series, and original factory maintenance program is about to run out soon and wanting to extend it. Found the latest MPU information here in the forum, which is great stuff! I called Macon BMW, and apparently Ryan Lee is no longer working there, talked some guy named Bill from Finance, quoted me $1895 as his best price on the MPU for 3 series. He laughed at the idea of $100 over the dealer cost. I then called Rudy of BMW Tuscon, and who was nice enough to offer $1795 right away. I then called a local BMW dealer, and was able to get $1745 pricing. I'm going to take this local offer tomorrow morning, and will update if it's a real deal or not.

Ok, just got the MPU deal for 3 series finalized at $1745, $150 over the dealer cost. The guy who helped me is from BMW South County (San Diego), Jeff Waters. Very nice guy, and straightforward. The number for South County BMW is 619-442-8888

1. You have no idea what 'dealer cost' is on that....

2. $1745. for (maybe) a brake job, 2 oil changes and a brake flush?!?!? Oh and wiper inserts?

If you just bought a CPO and they put new brakes on it, you'll probably not get the brake job even!

People really need to understand how little maintenance BMW actually covers, and how poorly they maintain these cars. If you are planning on keeping this car for any period of time, do not rely on BMWs plan.
