That's right. Use the flat pin connector/harness from the package and you're done. Test it out and if everything works than cut the frame and install the brackets. They gave you two types of connectors. Hold on to the round one, somebody with 17 round pin connector and DSP would need it.

Thanks for following up with Hualingan on the DSP. I decided to see if I could beat it. I have a Resler interface that allows me to connect a laptop to the IBus. I recorded the IBus startup sequence when playing FM radio. I removed my MID and CD Player. I then connected an aftermarket radio to the X. I tried pinging the amp with the laptop and it replied. However I could hear no music coming from the aftermarket radio. I continued to ping the amp and it continue to reply but still no music.

I'll need to double check the aftermarket radio to make sure it is putting out some sound. More than likely the startup sequence for the sound system is probably a little more complicated then what I tried.

I have decided to wait for those tv-in-motion guys to release their unit (since they claim OBC support) before I make any purchase. If it doesn't support DSP then I am getting rid of the DSP amp and then I'll get one of these.

I thought of the same thing. It must be a bit more complicated than that. You can keep the dsp amp on with that trick but for some reason you cannot make it to put out what's on its input. Volume on DSP cars is different than the non dsp. It looks like the MID controls the volume on the DSP amp and the radio out puts constant level while on the non-dsp cars the MID volume controls the output of the CD player.

thanks fmugur installed and all good to go just need to test the bluetooth but so far gps, radio, everything else works great

fmugur - since Hualingan seems motivated to create these adapter harnesses maybe you can convince them to create an adapter so that we don't have to cut the MID wires.

It would also be really cool if they could give us adapters to replace the DSP amp with an aftermarket amp, so that we can plug directly into the wires without splicing them, but that is probably pushing it!

Well, I decided I need one too for an early Christmas present to myself! Just ordered one from ctobay website. Fingers X.

How do the GPS work? Will it work for New Zealand? What do I need to do? Cheers.
