Wasted 45 min then. Was hoping not to have to spring for a new aux fan. Strange that the fan is working, but throwing a code. I recall installing a new fan switch when I had the motor out a couple years ago. The fans seem to still be available, so I’ll wait until it fully fails. I also ordered PA Soft as my foxwell isn’t supported any longer and doesn’t give granular bmw codes, so maybe PA Soft will allow me to pinpoint better what is going on. The foxwell is a till good for live data, resets, etc.

What's the error you're getting?

You said the code cleared for auc wish means it should function and close off outside air when is smelly out. That's not nothing.

The OE/M fan is so pricy I bought an aftermarket Amazon fan when mine went out.

Foxwell 510 didn't work on wife's F10 so I upgraded to NT 710 and it's Android tablet based, has WiFi and can update itself when you have Wi-Fi

Spent $450 on a 35 mile tow :(

I was picking someone up at the airport waiting in the cell phone lot, and the fuel pump just decided to quit living. Zero warning or symptoms prior to that point, just went from running perfectly to sputtering and dying. Fortunately the pump was on clearance at FCP Euro, but man - nothing simple ever goes wrong on this car. It's always things that disable me from making it home.

- Water pump blew up in New Mexico the day I bought it. Brother had to drive down from Colorado and tow me back to his house.
- Front differential self destructed in Virginia. I had to fly home, get my truck and rent a trailer, drive all the way back to VA and tow it back home.
- Fuel pump went out in New Orleans. $450 tow home.

Brutal but that amounts to 2 payments on a newer car. Sucks when stranded.

I have towing included in my cart insurance for such reasons.

I've considered it....but would it have really helped me in any of these scenarios? I don't believe my insurance would have paid for a $450 tow to my house...they would want to tow it 2 miles down the street to a shop, where they'd charge me $1500 to replace the fuel pump lol. Similar story with the other two break downs...

Look into it. Mine would cover 1 hour tow and they pay up front no out of pocket and then reimbursed. American Family. They towed where I wanted (home) and then when it looked like would need to have the dealer determine the problem they were going to tow it about an hour to the nearest BMW dealer.

I have towing/roadside assist coverage via USAA. When my old Volvo 240 (RIP Mrs Klankenborg) died at the airport it paid for a tow to my chosen shop about 12mi away.

Turned out it was a shit battery that shorted internally. Grrrr…

Well shit my driver door window just fell into the door. It’s 35C and humid AF. I think I’ve got a spare clip but have never replaced one before so any tips/tricks appreciated.
