Deoxit pro gold for helping any iffy connections. I had a bad connection in a maglite I measured 1900 milliohm and one drop off pro gold later it was ten! 190x better conduction!

Let me show you what a Saudi got me for Christmas....

Now if only my Secret Saudi Santa would have taken the time to let me know what he gave me!!!

Funny thing is there's no scratches or dents in the rear clip and no other visible damage to the rest of the Witch.

+1 on this.....Stabilant-22 is another magic mystery sauce in restoring iffy electrical connections...

BTW - Deoxit ProGold was renamed to just Deoxit Gold for anyone searching..

Wow I was actually trying to remember the name Stabilant-22.

I was trying to find it maybe 25 years ago when I found Pro Gold (more than a decade before deoxit became part of the name). I had thought maybe they were the same rebranded they do the same job and they do it "magically" as they are non conductive.

I forgot they took pro off the name.

DO NOT LIKE.

Nobody seems to give a shit about old cars. Someone put a huge door ding on my X awhile back. I guess they saw all that peeling clearcoat and thought "Eh, whatever, it's an old POS". 😡

Tried to fix the rear defroster, but havent yet.
getting an error code saying relay not activated.
its been swapped with a known good one, same.
Fuse is good(30A).
Power at the fuse and both the relay power supply and for the pull down circuit and if I jumper it, it warms up.
Also if I look at live data the control says it triggers, but still no activation or even a click at the relay.
My guess is a bad wire to the relay, will take more digging

andrewwynn 12-25-2023 02:16 PM

Do you have scanner that can activate directly to determine if it's the switch etc?

Going through the distributors list I finally found one that actually had the stuff. Crazy more expensive than deoxit gold.

I can't find my bottle I'm going to have to order another (best way to find a lost item especially tool)

Yep, triggering the climate control while watching live data says the switch gets activated, but not the relay.
I havent looked at the wire diagram to see if that goes through the GM5 module or some place else or is a straight run to the relay
