Still running good?

Started on the first crank! Idles good. Braking is nice and firm. A full heat test needs to be done. Plus, I need to do the actual auxiliary pump air bleed procedure.

There's an aux pump air bleed procedure? I think I just bled mine with the tank that sits on the radiator cap and called it good.

Set the GAL volume level to 1 lol for some reason it was on 5 as default, now the radio doesn't go down in volume randomly as I'm driving

Got the new GKN outer boot installed. I struggled for hours trying to hammer off the cv joint. Ended up ordering that medieval contraption below and had it off in 10 minutes. Thank you Mr Bezos. $19 well spent. The CV barely fit... but barely counts. Re-greasing and installation was a breeze. Getting the circlip to fit back into the CV took some "reach around" action but was able to get it pretty quickly. Big thanks to the original posters in the DIY and 30 minute boot thread. With this tool, I feel I actually might be able to get this job done in 30 minutes. Guess we'll find out when I do the DS boot.

PS: I left the inner boot alone. Looked fine so I just cleaned it a little.

And still looks good after about 30 miles... see how long the GKN boot lasts.

Today I installed new belts and replaced all 3 pulleys. It was pretty easy job

File against their insurance and then anything not completely covered file a supplemental claim on yours.

They must be making the hole bigger now in that tool, so that is good news! :)

We really need a "like" button for this board.

A lot of times I have nothing to add to a discussion, but want you guys to know I appreciate that you are active on this board. Wish we had that like more modern boards. I wouldn't be able to keep this damn car on the road if it wasn't for this board.
