Any pointers on replacing pre-LCI door seals? I pulled one off a post-LCI at the pull-yer-part but once home realized it's the typical crimped on the pinch weld vs the pre-LCI that appears to be glued in place.
My Bentley manual is mute on this one. How do I replace it assuming I have a good one available? They're all rotten at the bottom. New ones are still available and every pre-LCI junkyard carcass I've found has rotted seals so no point in pursuing used. Same with door panel vapor barriers... get em new while you can, once you've fixed all the usual door lock/latch issues. |

The tapping persists for about a minute or until the revs go a bit hinger while driving. I'll see if I can upload a recording. My guess is to replacen the tensioners too.. just to be safe |
The n52 motor takes like 30 minutes to get the "lifters" filled. I only worked on M62 never owned one to see what It behaved liked long term.
What viscosity oil are you using? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

AUC sensor won't trip the check engine light. Source: have had a faulty AUC sensor since the day I bought the car  |

I can tell the replacement is working though! |

Yeah, I just mean it won't ever cause any problems with the car or trip the check engine light or trigger limp mode. The other things are what caused your problems. |

Yeah, I had the same surprise. Quite sophisticated huh! Someday I might even get around to replacing mine. |
When I bumped into the live data for AUC I left it on during a drive and sure enough when I got near a construction area where there were laying asphalt I saw exactly when the sensor caused the fresh air flap to close.
