The chrome one looked alright, but there was no other chrome accents on the truck. I think the black one suits it better?;)

i wanted to do the same thing , but i wasn't able to find the part , if you can provide the link to the ebay part that will be great .thank you .

Just paint them. Much less expensive and fun. Two coats of primer and three coats of paint. I painted mine a year and a half ago and still looks like I bought them.

Of course, I loved my 3.0, but I did drive it differently. And not nearly as often in the upper stratosphere of double digit speeds. :yikes:

work work work

Pulled the 5hp24 transmission to do a tear down and rebuild. Ordered the kit and it shipped U.S. snail mail...who in turn sent it to the wrong city!

Busted my knuckle open to the bone breaking the bolts loose on the bell-housing and ended up getting sealed up with superglue in the ER (bell-housing edge is sharp as a knife!!!).

What led me to this? Burnt fluid, hard/delayed shift into 1st, hard 2-1 downshift, and a transmission fail-safe mode after it slipped coming off the freeway. Apparently pretty common?

That's oil TEMP. I had just started off for the day. I doubt the temp was any higher than the reading. Works fine today.
