Looks great. Do you mind explaining what you did/where you got the materials?

Materials were from aliexpress. Then do a YouTube search on bmw steering wheel warp. There's a few to choose from.

Finish my heated steering wheel restoration. This is the same steering wheel that was for sale here on the black X5. Looks and works great

Cleaned the Idle Control Valve; vehicle went into fail-safe mode.

Limped it home, read the code, found a video.

Did the job and cleared the code. 45 minutes.

Runs beautiful.

Just watched a couple. Looks pretty good to do. How did the back come out? It looks well fitted in size and shape around the spokes. Did you have to trim/alter it?

Ok cool, thanks!

Mine is pretty good shape, but would like to change to nappa leather but always wondered how much heat would still come through.

Not sure if you've heard of AZA wheels, but I'm planning on sending my wheel to them to rewrap. They quoted me around $350.00 and this included extra foam padding to give a thicker feel. He stated the wheel would take slightly longer to warm up. Only downside is they're located in Ukraine, so shipping there and back is $85.00 each way.

Plan is to go nappa on top and bottom, and perforated on the sides. He also modifies wheels to do the "flat bottom" or extra hand grooves, but he stated we would loose the heated function.

I'm thrilled to announce that because of (& only because of...) all the generous help and technical knowledge offered in this community, I was able to replace the jet siphon pump O ring today. Hindsight; I would of only removed the two plugs on the driveline-side of the pump.

Totally appreciative.

Feeling Blessed
