Oil reports:
Motor: 4,468 mi.
This is another good one to add to the books. As you can see, wear metals have hardly changed since last time and that's great, considering this oil was in use longer than last time. Your engine's internal parts don't seem to be having issues with one another, and if there is a mechanical problem, we're not seeing the evidence in the used oil. The viscosity was fine for a 0W/40 this time, and if that's what you used last time, it was probably fine back then too. No dirt, fuel, coolant, or water was found and the low insolubles show great oil filtration. Nice job!
Transmission: 8,xxx mi
Removing six quarts of oil certainly helped bring metals down to a more manageable level. There's still a ways to go before we can call some of these metals normal, but iron (steel) fell into the average range, so that's nice to see. Other metals made nice strides in the right direction too, so we won't be surprised if they read closer to or within the average range next time. Copper might take a while since it was so high, but it'll get there with time. No contamination was found and insolubles were at just a trace. So far, so good. Nice improvements!
