DIY pixel repair MID, messed up Instrument cluster, I think, by way of DIY pixel repair (needles), but added silver gauge rings while opened. Will do headlight restoration, and add AE's. WISHLIST: waiting for skid plate and paint rear bumper to match and New tires.

Today, summer tires [Cooper Zeon Xsta 255/55/18s] mounted on the recent BMW 209 style wheels bargain purchase and mounted with hubcentric adapter rings; store the Conti DWS on original wheels for winter use. This weekend: install the aux audio input in the ashtray and inspect/fix the rear left tailight [the BMW SI B 63 08 07 fix]; locate the bluetooth code and match to mobile phone. There is always something!

at 205305km I replaced the sparkplugs ,figured they where do ,and after all the plugs got fouled in the winter due to a hydrolocked engine it would a good idea. by the way the engine isn`t sucking in anymore oil and plugs where clean when they came out .

Replaced spark plugs and coilpacks at 82k miles. Was getting some intermittent vibration on acceleration along with random misfire. Everything felt pretty good on the test drive

Drained my M54 of the Mobil 1 0W40, and refilled with 8 quarts of Rotella T6 5W40, and installed a new Mann oil filter. Here's hoping the months of ridiculous oil consumption are over! And maybe it's placebo effect, but I swear she runs smoother now!

Gary I can almost guarantee you won't consume any.
T6 doesn't shear down like M1, what was your consumption like with Mobil?

Drove in the 112 Az sun glare is much less & NEX is much brighter/ less impacted by glare than the Appradio3 was. Also good no windshield damage.

My consumption with M1 0W40 was about 1 quart per 1000 miles. I'll be a very happy camper if T6 is consumed less.

Removed the old timing chain tensioner and installed new one from Pelican. The old tensioner had zero deflection (frozen) where as the new one has a one inch deflection. Prior to this change I could hear the chain chattering now it is smooth and quite, hopefully this change was in time before any serious damage occurred to the timing chain guides.

While I was in there did an oil change, used Mobile-1 5W-30 with a MAHLE oil filter, good for another year.

Gave my beloved X a bath and shoe shine, then let her show her younger cousin how to pose for the camera...
