Amazing how much smoother it runs with a working thermostat and mileage appears to have improved as well.

The moronic non gauge for temp on the dash is one of the biggest fails for BMW right up with the self destructing door handle.

On mine, the first white mark is 60 Deg and the centre is anywhere from 75-95 Deg with little variation over this range. If the petrol engine is more sensitive to temp changes I guess this is a problem....
