That's consistent with my experience. I have flown significant distances to buy and drive home (1) a 4x4, 7.3L Ford diesel [2002] with a stick and (2) the X5 in my sig.

I'd like to add my 2003 X5 5 speed to the registry. It has 262,000 miles on the orignal engine and trans! I've fixed tons of stuff on it but she keeps trucking. It tows my 22 foot catalina sailboat and tent trailer all over the country. I love the sav nothing combines the fun to drive factor with the towing ability and style of this sav.

Well I have to let go of my beloved X5. Figured I would forward the link here since this is where all the "cool" X5 enthusiast hang out.
