Campy, as Green Dragon's response discloses, his Utah hillbilly techie mods made his install of the less-expensive alternative a bit trickier than the UUC install. Choose your poison ......:)

I'm the new kid on the block, stopping in to say "Hi".

I purchased Dave's "Davintosh" '01 X5 Silver over Black 5 spd, last weekend. He did a great job keeping and rebuilding it. I've known Dave for years as we hang on on the Mye28.com anarchists forum :D

Thanks Dave.

Unfortunately for you folks, you have not heard the last of me.

Welcome! Post pictures. And no one would blame you if a few E28 ones slip in there too.

Hey, you made it! It was good to hear that you survived the trip back, and that the X5 did well for you. I think you'll like the xoutpost crowd; lots of helpful guys here, among whom Ricky Bobby is one of the best.

I'll still be around, and will help out where I can, but I think these guys will have you more than covered!

A recently-posted 2003 5 spd on Craigslist ATL. Mileage higher than I would like, 159k, but looks like its well-cared for. Check it out .
