Were about 45 miles inland from AC. It hasn't been too bad here so far. We lost power for about 2 hrs but it's back on. There a few minor branches down but nothing serious at my house. It haven't been out and about though.
We're about ready to get hit by the back end of the storm so we'll see what happens...

Update. Brooklyn got destroyed. My house survived. I haven't been on the roof yet. My awning ropes held on, awning survived. We lost power 8:30 pm. Just as my parents called and said the sewers were blowing out the caps in the hood and flooding them. Getting to their house was epic. There were rivers everywhere. I took the X as it is fast and nimble. Lots of trees down, lots of power lines down. Lots of damage. I had to zig zag around the blocked blocks, burning cars, lakes and all that shit. Got to my parents and sledge hammered those fuckin caps in. This was useless as they were getting water from everywhere. But the damage is much less than the neighbors. On 10" versus 2' for the neighbors. But shit. Mud and leaves and shit everywhere in the basement. We at their house now since they have power, and we need to think of the baby.

Yea so yesterday it took me twice as long to get home. On the way home I was diving fire trucks, cops, ambulances, and dumb idiots driving with no lights. Oh don't forget those awsome ass power lines hanging down the middle of the road. The X maneuvered flawlessly. I avoided quite a few oh shit moments.

Oh add on top that we don't have cell crevice at all, and texts pass through every half hour or so. Water rose to 1 block from my house. Wow.

Be safe Dennis! Hope all our friends affected by Sandy are alright.

Wow slick, that sucks.
I can't beleive that we are only 45 miles from atlantic city and we have No damage at all. No more branches down than would be from a normal summer storm. Power was out for only 2 hrs. We really lucked out.

Here are a few videos of playing on the golf cart trails at the abandoned golf course down the street. Sorry no big walls of water but fun enough for us

Yea AC is under water. I am already getting calls for repairs out in jersey. One bud lost half his shingles, 5 feet of water in basement. He had two washer/dryer combos. Gone. Boiler, water heater gone. No electricity, and his car fried something as he tried to run the pump. So they are down to his daily beater sentra for 4 people

Yea Socket, I went through way more water than that yesterday. I didn't even slow down. I just gauged it by the ambulances and people. If water was below people's knees, I just flew through. If above the bumpers of ambulances, I tried to go around. Gonna have to do oil changes on all the driveline. Yay. Not.

I went to get the f150 today. Glad didn't waste my time yesterday. Trees were just getting cleared out of that block. I park it at inlaws since that mofo is long, and their driveway is just right. Yea, the insurance claims will be crazy.

Wow you guys really got nailed up there. Funny how the center of the hurrcane passed over us without any real damage. It's the northern part of the storm that has the most power.
Good luck and stay safe!

We're ok. A lot of damage in my town. 150 200 foot trees picked from the roofs and crashed on the houses. There are 4 marinas by us., I've never seen so many boats in the MIDDLE OF RT 35!

Our power has been out since 7 last night. Scavenged an old Dewalt 5,5 HP with Honda motor hooked up and powering the tv fridge and Internet. Cell service is also down. I can't get called out or in. Text messages don't go out. Thank god I got the generator working or I wouldn't be posting.

Not much rain so sump pit stayed dry but the winds were amazing. Rippled some siding off the house but fixable and some large branches fell in the back yard. And since gas stations are closed, siphoning gas from the Buick to fill up the generator. Lol not the X.

best of luck to you guys up there!!

Holy shit. My family came from the shore line. Evacuation zone A. House is gone. They can't find it. They found the car on top of a mailbox. Amazing enough someone looted the car too. This sux. They are retired and living off their pensions. And you know how nice that money is. Hopefully insurance doesn't take too long. And power too. They also came to my parents to store their diabetes meds. I can only imagine how many people are just like them. Those communities are full of retired people.
