It took you longer to post-- it is in the thread-- (32 pages) than just answer the question. Great to see you are so helpful.

Apparently you missed the sarcasm. Let me make it clear.

If you want to be helpful drop this thread and post your mods on the-- what did you do to your X5 today thread. IMO, the title of your thread does not convey anything about being helpful, nor do your initial posts. And, this as one of example of answering a question is a stretch to call helpful.

If you want to be helpful answer the question about the strut tower case similar to the following: The strut tower brace is from Schmeidman. I am very pleased with how much it improved handling and how much flatter my X5 corners. I attached a link to Schmeidmann. Schmiedmann - Tuning for BMW X5 (E53) - New parts - page 2

That is being helpful.

Did that over the winter. Fun isn't it? Tricky at first but not too bad. I used a ton of glass cleaner to lube up the channel.

Rb it was a pain toget it out even much more pain in the A putting it through the seam. And yes now its good, did u end up slapping some solicone in there?

Ricky Bobby 06-11-2014 07:56 PM

Didn't need to. As long as its wedged in there good it's not budging one mm.

I actually used glass cleaner as a lubricant and had to use a small putty knife to "pry it" into the channel and so it locked in place, at first it was only kinda half way in there but once I went over the strip in the groove a couple times to wedge it in all the way, its perfect now. Shouldn't need any silicone, if you used some you might not have it in there all the way.
