Okay...so all my parts arrived today ($400) for everything so far. After finally replacing the oil separator hoses, I realized the new CCV rear intake cover has two little nipples facing the rear of the engine, which had nothing connected to them on the old one. Can anyone tell me what needs to be connected to them?

There's a vacuum hose going into the passenger side nipple. It has a yellow plastic clamp on it.
The other nipple is closed by the cap. Quote:

Add me to the list.
The weather yesterday was finally nice enough to do some work on the X. Got an airbag light after last week Polar Vortex Tundra that we experience. Connected my scanner to the 20 pin round connector and did a complete scan of all the modules. The SRS module which controls the air bag came back with 2 errors. Read the errors and tried clearing the code but the same errors keeps coming back. So it looks like I'm going to have to have the SRS control module replaced. In all my life of owning cars this is the first cars that the SRS failed on me, the good thing is that it didn't fail in an accident. |
Progress...
Okay...after two weeks of "as time allows" labor, I have the new oil separator, CCV, new hoses, clamps, intake manifold gaskets, air lines, water pump, and valve cover gaskets installed.
Now just have to connect the coolant lines, injectors, plugs, belts, intake, throttle body, etc. Whew! What a job! Already planning ahead for A/C compressor, power steering R&R, front shocks, engine mounts, wheel bearings, and brake discs. |
To Upallnight:
I was in a wreck about a year ago that totally destroyed the other car, and just cracked my bumper...no airbags deployed. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the SRS not working, just wear your seatbelt :)
