Awesome, guys that get 'em, please post up your thoughts on them!

I'm curious on how they affect closing the hatch, do they make it harder to close?

Will it put undue stress on the hatch soft-close mechanism?

At best they will let me know when the hatch-release button on the remote has been inadvertently pressed while the FOB was in my pocket - better than a dead battery!!!

I wonder if you could just buy a set of springs from somewhere like McMaster Carr?

I am getting one of those. I replaced the original shock and my hatch is still going down hard.

I'm in. Will have to check how much stress these put on hinge mechanism. Here is hoping the rear hatch doesn't get popped open and caught on the garage door.

Now for auto close
I though TerminatorX5 was going to work on a trick. Anyone have auto close?

Just a thought, these springs putting tension on the mechanism when closed *might* help hatch rattle, if you have it.
