Rocky Mountain is the biggest rip off artist in the business IMO. The one I am talking about comes with the purchase of an F-18. Really, do not waste your money on Rocky Mountain. Also, I think you may want your bubble on your reciever on the inside. You should head over to the LI forum and ask someone there like Ivan about the install.

In the manual it shows the bubble on the outside. I will check that out.
Which jammer are you talking about that comes with an F-18? And is it F-18 as in the jet? I don't mind spending money but I want it to work. If there is nothing good out that anyone could recommend, I will order a few different ones and see which works.

I also tried the LI today with many different lasers, and it didn't detect any of them. I will have to look into this too.

Yes as in the jet!! Seriously, most do not work and there is no real conclusive evidence that any "consumer models" do. Which laser guns did you use?

Scorpion Ultimate Ka may work, but is unreliable and hard to find. You can not run a radar detector with a radar jammer because the jammer would set of the detector all the time. Your best bet would be to get a good radar detector such as the Bel STi-R or the Escort 9500ix, V1 is good but does not offer stealth against spectre units (RDD's).

BTW. I would contact Cliff at LaserInterceptorUSA about your problem he is very knowledgeable and can help you trouble shoot if you are in the U.SA.

I tested it with the lasers the cops have on the street. I didn't get any notification from the LI that it has detected a laser. I will have to keep trying it out.

Also, I already know where the radar/lasers are because they are built into speed cameras, so I just want a way to be able to peed past them without slowing down. That is why I have no need for a detector and why I have not purchased a V1. I just need a good jammer or something similar to jam the gun so no pictures are taken.
I will look into the Scorpion Ultimate.

BTW, why would an F-18 need a jammer? And if it is for cars, andy price estimate?

I have had SOOO many tickets this year that I wouldn't mind spending any amount to get something to work.

I am being sarcastic :dunno: all these military jets have sophisticated radar and electronic jamming devices. BTW about 40 million get you one, 29 million at a second hand sale;)

Do you know which laser they are using ? I think in Dubai they also use a new technology- Sensys. The radar, I believe, is not use primarily to record speed but rather "track" time between two points. At some point it must take a speed reading to begin the track and I think the primary premise is measured from "point a" to "point b", point 'b" probably being the camera and a calculation is made during the track to determine the time, thus speed one traveled through the zone. This uses a radar lobe . check out Radar Detector Jammer Forum and look in the jammer forum over there. There are way more knowledgeable people over there that could explain more if you ask nicely.

I though the radar jammers linked into the radar detector and only transmitted when the radar detector signaled a radar detection.
