The toll charges are due to my daily commute. My EZ Pass is on my license plate so instead of cruising through I had to stop and wait in line. Not their fault.

OK This calls for a serious repair. Tell your dealer you will accept nothing less than a Funf Dreisig AG classic 'fookin light' repair kit.

This must have repair kit, includes our black as sin carbon fiber duck tape, which we recommend being installed directly over the 'fookin light'. Because even drunk passengers can tell if you use the commodity level silver and/or green stuff. :rolleyes:

Little confused though, does your light say anything at all, or is it that yellow light that kind of looks like a radiator, and it's similar shape like that shape we see when we check oil level on Idrive?

It's a little yellow light that looks like an engine. I think there's a picture in one of the thread, let me check. Not sure what the check oil light you are referring to is.

THERE ARE 100 THINGS THAT CAN TRIGGER THIS LIGHT!!!!!! The "light" isn't the "Fault" or "problem"... there is an underlying failure that triggered it. To say "I have this light too" is to not understand the function of a "Check Engine Warning Light" You need to find out the actual CODE that tripped the light to get at the fault- the dealers love customers that don't ask questions....the sensors don't get 'confused' and if they do, they are defective.

Wow, that really sucks! Sorry to hear that. That's why I got tired of fooling around with my local dealer and BMW and took my loss and purchased a 2010 Lexus GX 460 Premium. No dead battery, no check engine lights. I only have one problem, on rough or un even pavement, the passenger seat rattles and I will show my dealer next time I take it in. Other than that, no problems to report. Let us know what they find.

Yup. And, as you know, the code cannot be taken at face value. A perfect example is the DPFE (Differential Pressure Feedback EGR) sensor on the Ford Focus. To determine if the EGR valve is working, Ford has a sensor which measures the pressure differential across the EGR valve. If the computer, via the DPFE sensor information, determines the EGR Vale is not working, it will throw a CEL (check engine light) and a code which indicates the EGR valve is defective. So, many people take the code at face value and replace the EGR Valve, only to still have the CEL and the same code -- 9 times out of 10 the EGR valve is just fine, but the DPFE sensore has failed. On the Ford Focus, this is a not uncommon cause of getting a CEL.

You would hope that the dealer's mechanics would know all of this, but too many dealerships have some young mechanics that tend to take the codes at face value and throw parts at it.
