I am told that you can choose among the 2 wheel designs. Check with your dealer.

Happy Speeding tickets.

Sounds like you need to find a better informed salesperson.

So I'm a bit annoyed today..

I get a call from the dealer who I left a deposit with over a year ago. I've been leaving him messages.

He says, "Our first car is sold, but your 5th in the allocation. If 2,3,4 drop off, you'll get it sooner.."

Now hold on just a god damned minute.. When I left my deposit you said I was second allocation at worst, probably first.. Now all of a sudden I'm 5th allocation..
- What an ASSHOLE...

Which is fine anyway.. I decided to pay the registration fee on my 7 series for the year so I'm in no rush. Now I can order the car exactly I want, make sure I'm not paying an over the top Money Factor and will buy from the dealer who gives me the best discount.. - Clearly I'm not getting an early allocation anyway so the financial ball is back in my court.

Plus, I didn't want to say anything earlier, but you just KNOW that first production batch is going to have minor bugs aplenty. So now someone else will get to be the beta-tester instead of you! Bottom line: You win!

Yes and no.. If I don't get the first batch then I have to extend my BMW 7 Series lease on a month to month.. Which means, I had to register the car for another year.. And that's $850 in California..

So if I only keep the 7 Series for an additional month or two, I had to pay the whole registration fee anyway..

So really, the dealer screwed my for close to $1000 because he lied.

Also, I don't see this car as a new model.. It's just a variation on an existing model.
I suspect there won't be any major issues.. The E70 has been out for a couple years now.

Is that just registration or property tax too? Don't they give you back the partial refund? Most states do.

Car is not really new, but the engine is.
