They don't have to spec out dealer demos.

well i got a list of the options to choose from today,no prices for the options just the base model price. (which is $85,400 usd )

it also says the x5m goes on sale in September.

he said there will be only two coming to my dealership. both have been ordered by customers. ( i am 2 of 2. )
also there will be no demos or models on the lot for sale . ( x5m)

Has there been any quarter mile runs in this beast yet? What were the numbers? i am also wondering how it pulls against the M3 and M5 in the 65 or so 3rd/4th gear runs.

I don't think any official numbers have been posted, however, based on the power, weight, gearing and launch control system it should do mid-high 12's with a 12.6 average.

As for pulling from 65 or 3rd/4th gear runs, my money is on the DCT M3 for the initial jump, however, the X ///M should start to pull away once it gets higher in the rpms as it makes peak power close to redline with a flat trq band. I would put the rolling acceleration closer to that of the M5 as the power/weight will be a closer compairison.

I should have some tests once I start using the X5 ///M to tow my drag car to the track.

I will be going with Space Grey (or maybe white), fully loaded w/ black perforated leather, carbon trim, black exterior trim/roof rails and the trailer hitch. The wheels will be the stock X5 ///M design (IMO they fit the 5 series image better), however, I will probably swap them out for the HRE P40s later on.

What about you?
