If you guys install Torque Pro, have a look at some of the program templates to get a pretty good colour match to vehicle glow at night. Torque gives you the option to have a different template for day and night, making for neat integration.

I just set up the Torque Lite to see how I like it.

So far pretty decent. I do like the accumulated MPG which is some consolation for the same function lost in the BC.

Does the "Pro" version unlock fuel pressure and other parameters that I'm unable to see in the "Lite" version?

I'm using a WiFi ELM dongle and that's a little inconvenient because you can't stream music at the same time on another WiFi connection.

Hi Mike, I haven't used the Lite version, but I don't see fuel pressure on my diesel. Available sensors are in green when I scroll down the list. I have 5 or 6 screens I flick between, with a combination of different sensors displayed. I don't stream music via my phone, but the Eonon can manage multiple BT devices simultaneously, including my ELM BT. I use a LTE wifi modem for music apps and internet etc.

I'm staying stock. I don't feel like I'd be happy enough with the Avin to warrant the cost. I'll keep an eye out for NBT pieces, but otherwise I'll be stock for the foreseeable future.

When placed in the Eonon frame the threads grabbed quite well and I used that fact to my advantage to allow the screw to be my frame "adjuster" mechanism as well.

Good idea. I used an angled spacer (forget what it was exactly, I think some special washer from an appliance or something) along with the longer screws when I did my Avin. The gap at the bottom was a non-starter for me from the get go.

Yes, if I the screws did not work with their grab/spacing potential, I was going to try some washers or some other such spacer mechanism from my giant miscellaneous screw can.

Hopefully, this will carry the day for stabilizing the unit in the frame with no gap at the bottom.

GA6166X External Mic Not Working

Hey guys. Is anyone using the external mic that came with the GA6166F or GA6166X? I have intentionally excluded the newest version of the head unit (GA6166) because Eonon has changed the hardware and the external mic plug is configured differently.

I have the external mic that came with the GA6166X which plugs into female mic port which is on the same plug as the two 3G USB connectors. I also have another external mic from the GROM kit but neither work. I can plug/unplug the external mics and nothing happens. I've also done that during a call and there is no popping noise or anything during the call. For each of the three configs (internal mic, external GA6166X mic, and external GROM mic) I have tapped on the mic during the call and the tapping is only heard from the internal mic regardless which one is plugged in and supposed to be in use. I've rebooted the unit and still nothing. Only the internal mic works and due to it being right next to the air vent on my X, there is alot of background noise and the mic clarity is subpar.

I REALLY need to use an external mic to get decent clarity and have just sent a message to Eonon about it. Just checking to see if anyone else is using the external that came with the GA6166F or GA6166X (these are the same regarding the external mic) to see if there were any issues. Thanks!

I'm using the external mic that came in the box, works fine although i haven't positioned it in its final resting place (a pillar). Right now it's sitting under the steering wheel, sticking out of the leather steering cover.
