It was the estorille blue i fell in love with =) i have previously owned a chevy tahoe the x5 is way more fun to drive and look at, but i sometimes i miss the sweet comfort from the chevy =)

Yeah companies that powder coat and do this properly will put the valve covers in an oven to get the oil vapors to escape. My powder coater did them at like 400 degrees. I have had 3 sets for different BMWs done in the last 5 years and the finish has held up flawlessly.
