Thanks Txyaloo!
I thought the translations were surprisingly good. I could at least follow the conversations and was able to figure out i needed to code my DSP amp from boardmonitor to MID. Fixed my problem with audio turning off after 30 seconds.

I know they're actively working on E53 development. Not sure what all they need to do other than properly identify the vehicle type and add a picture of the E53, I'm using the E39 touring image since it's fairly close to the 53.

Got my USB module in the mail today! Too bad I don’t have a radio to go with it...

Found the first "bug" with the ibus app so far.

It set the clock wrong on the am/pm part. Time was right but where it should be 12pm it was showing 12am. Im about to go back out and check to see if it works right now. Best I can remember it was right when I looked at the time earlier on.

Well its either an issue with 12 oclock or just a fluke since it worked perfect just now showing 6pm with it being 6pm so all is good at the moment

On a side note it did say 6am when I first turned the key on but as soon as the radio finished booting it showed "Crowz BMW" then the time and the time was right at 6pm.

No big deal but I hate people that say "Its PERFECT" even when they find nit picky stuff wrong. So this is the only bug I have found so far and will post more if I run across anymore.

Crowz... you are pushing this stereo redo further up my to do list.

Now, when you say you can control DSP... does that mean you can turn the amps on or adjust the volume of the amps from the iBus app?

The options in the app are the same as on the board monitor. Volume, equalizer, effects, "memo" settings, etc.

I've had some issues with DSP volume either not sticking or being very laggy. I'm still using the DSP amp to control my speakers with the android HU. This shows the DSP settings available (not my video)

Just remember with dsp you need to get the app+dsp option when buying the app. Its not part of the basic app and cost a bit more. But if you have dsp is a must have.

The next part of my install will cover the valentine one radar detector install and integration with the android head unit.

The apps for this one is REALLY nice. Showing direction of radar picked up, signal strength (distance).

Location on satellite map which allows you to plot out all radar picked up and the ability to block false signals via gps.

Frequency display of each radar signal picked up so you can determine what the radar is actually coming from.

Plus a bunch more features. Its in the 40's here temp wise and I am not dealing well with the temperature drop so progress is a bit slow on things right now. Low temps and old age are not a good combo it seems

After I finish with the radar detector setup I will delve into the 360 degree outside camera setup with birds eye overhead view and dvr recording with anti theft/vandal recording.

List seems to keep going doesn't it.....

Still to come eventually will be rear seat video monitors.

JL Audio stealth subwoofer and amp install (This one will be my Christmas gift to myself so probably December on this part)

Focal speakers to replace factory speakers.

Amplifiers for the rest of the speakers.

High end dsp with microphones for auto tuning for perfect audio all the time.
