Drivers window won't go down, replaced switch, no change
Hey everyone,
Got in the X5 other day and the drivers side window would not go down. The other windows work fine using the drivers control panel, as well as the controls for the mirrors. irst thing I did was check fuses, all good. Looked online and saw main window switch is common problem, I installed a new one, didn't change anything. When I push the up button, the drivers window is already all the way up but it makes a small little thump noise, I believe that is the relay? The other windows do the same thing. When I click the down button nothing happens at all. I pulled codes from that module and it says "Relay for power windows motor, drivers door, does not pick up" will provide a picture. Any idea what that means? Can someone point me in the direction I should start? I do not know how this car is setup, is there relays in the door for the power windows, or just one main relay for all windows? The next thing I was thinking was motor is no good but they aren't cheap so don't want to get a regulator with motor and waste money. Any help appreciated trying to figure out what to do next. Thanks
