CW.....I cannot recall was it this thread or another where you said you have at least 3-5K in PM parts yet to be installed.

Don't be the doofus like I am. I actually threw some new parts away thinking I would never use them. Just ordered one of the parts I threw away.

Eh, what can I say. My OCD cleanliness sometimes get's the best of the PURGE in me

I have parts in storage I've taken off mine. Like the shocks and springs when I upgraded to coil overs. "Just in case".

I have a big box labeled on a shelf so it does not trigger the "purge" valve of my OCD. Have one for each vehicle in the fleet. Red's is the biggest though.

It's not quite that much $$$ in uninstalled parts. About $1000 (out of $7255 total maintenance parts ordered for Red) consisting mostly of VSS parts and a complete cooling system. I'll get around to it all one day... one day...

updated my cost list for the X5 yesterday as I had a service done with (knock on wood) a fix that should finish off my coolant woes and a skid plate that came loose during a top-speed test

anyway... I spent more on maintenance than the car itself now... we're 16 months in

good thing it's tax deductible

I have receipts for everything I have spent since 4.6 was new. Much of it are mods. I am never never never going to add it all up.
