Yup ordered 2, and re the tape up i applied some glue with a hot glue gun to cover the tape too, so as long as it holds and i have no leaks wont bother installing the new ones

I came out this morning to a wet parking spot because my pump washer is now leaking...

Omodos, tell your X5 to stop talking to mine!!

People are still posting questions on buckets, seals and pumps? There must be 200 posts on this issue.
Wait until summer and there will be posts on my washer tank bleeds all over the engine compartment

Now you will have to post the filter that sits under the cap that operates as a vent

Which the OP doesn't have, as the M57/M57TU diesel versions don't have this filter/vent. Instead, the reservoir cap has a vent hole.

No idea why they did that...

Hit a deer with x last last January and immediately a big puddle of liquid poured out and since literally the last time it was coolant i went to kill the engine before overheats.

Turns out it was the washer spray for the headlight washer!
