Go to an airport and tell me that noise pollution does no impact the environment.
I'd guess you wouldn't like my 2 Harleys or my Vette, "sound-wise", either.

We gotta figure out a way to prevent all the world's grazing animals from spewing methane and CO2 in their farts, and all the green stuff on the planet from tossing out CO2 and other gases, too.

I'm on the "Our Planet is Screwed" side, but one has to figure out where to pick their fights, imo. Modding one's X or Y or, Z is not gonna hasten the end of Earth or, really affect anyone reading this board.

The planet is not screwed. The oceans are a gigantic CO2 sink (they absorb the CO2) and little organisms use it. I think the planet will do just fine.

Certain members of our board might need more help, though.

Don't disagree Doc, but those oceans are gonna be
considerably warmer, in spots, and higher...

I should not have been so demonstrative in my comment;
it was a bit hyperbolic, but I was trying to make the "mod"
pollution point.

Imo, Long term, it will be a less fun place to live, however.

I stayed awake in the 40 hrs of Bio I took in the U, too. ;>)

It might make hurricane season a bit more interesting for you and me, and all the rest of us on the Gulf!

OT...(I think I jacked a thread again, )

Doc,
I'm back on the Mtn in far western NC, during 'Cane season...
though some have kicked our fannies there, too.

If/when the sea level gets to my door step there, at 5K ft elev.,
I'll be way past even a memory.

On a practical note, I am arm wrestling with the "vigilante/make new
rules" HOA here, over my desire to drive away from here in late April
with my 'Cane shutters in place over all my windows and sliders.

The 5% fulltimers in our dev. "don't want to look" at them...

You tree hugger and bunny hugger liberals have no idea what's really going on out from behind your desks in the big cities. I live in the 2nd largest county by square miles in the state of Wisconsin and we have not one traffic light. This is the wilderness and an indicator of what most of this country consists of by land area. There are MILLIONS of trees dying of old age and disease going to waste up here because of the tree hugger liberals that think it's just so detrimental to the environment to cut a tree. I have a cabin within the Chequamegon National Forest and ever since the tree huggers have pushed their invalid & unrealistic opinions on the land there is much less wildlife inhabiting these over mature forests. For someone to criticize someone on this board for making an exhaust mod is typical of the thinking these liberals have. It's based on nothing but unrealistic views and the liberal media propaganda just looking for reasons to bi*ch about something. I've fought in 3 wars for my country and now still serve (22 years) in the Air Force Reserve & I have a right to my opinions. You liberals are the last to serve for this country and and yet are the ones whining about it the most. Most of you haven't served in the military but most of you support us and our mission and I thank you for that. You are the ones I respect and you are the ones whose opinions I appreciate. You liberals need to quit pushing your crap on us appreciative Americans, go trade in your X5 for a prius, feel better about yourselves and then leave the rest of us alone. There must be a prius board somewhere and maybe you can find some other liberals there to whine with!
